As far as I'm concerned Kyrie Irving single handedly broke the all star team I was very so hopefully for. I've been seeing these recent articles about how the Celtics basically did not care for Kyrie's presence. While watching the Celtics last season is was really hard to watch them play individually and not as a team. I have studied through varies articles from various sports sources about some of the players who left and why they did so. One player whose reasons for why he left shocked me was Al Horford. During last season I felt as if Al and Kyrie connected while on the court, but soon realized that is not actually the reality of it. Al stated in an interview, "We got all the pieces last year, but it just didn't happen for us," he then further stated, "When we started with the team trying to come up with things and we couldn't agree on certain numbers, that's when I decided, you know what, I'm going to have to open my free agency." This only touched on what Horford had to say when asked if his decision to stay would have changed if Irving had stayed in Boston. "I just think that if Kyrie would have stayed, I don't know if it would have worked." This one hurt. Knowing how Irving and Horford played together and then hearing him say that he didn't care for Irving staying as a former Boston fan, h u r t. Now I am aware that some nights they didn't click, but when they did it was magic.
