The Brooklyn Nets just lost star point guard Kyrie Irving for the rest of the season due to Irving's shoulder impingement that he had been dealing with during mid-November through mid-January. The injury that caused him to miss quite a few important games of the season during that time period. While Irving averaged 27.4 ppg 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists including his 50 point game in the Brooklyns Nets debut followed by a 54 point game vs the Bulls following the passing of Kobe Bryant. So what now for Brooklyn? Well to be honest Brooklyn is holding its own without the star Kyring Irving and have gone 17-16 games this season without Kyrie and 8-20 with Irving, so it is safe to say that although Irving may be wanted, he may not really be needed if players like Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie continue to play at the level that are playing the game right now.
